how did you become an animal lover? did you grow up in an animal loving family? did you just always love them or did something happen to make you an animal lover?
my mom was a real big animal lover so i guess i get it from her, but my brother although not cruel in any way could take them or leave them so i'm not sure.

When I was growing up we had a couple of dogs never any cats. My parents just were not animal lovers. No one in my family of five really cared much for animals except for me. I have always had a love for animals, any animal and nature. There are times I would much rather spend time with my pets than people.(I know my family thinks I'm weird) My hubby bless him, loves all of our pets, but would be much happier if we only had a couple instead of eight. I would have lots more if I could and as long as I'm able to provide good care for them I would have eight more. ;D

My parents and grandparents always had dogs. Jake was my first dog, he got run over sadly, 3 weeks after coming out of 6 months quarantine (moved from abroad). He was a lovely little lad. I love dogs and so does Jayne but we both also love cats and that's how the tribe began, more or less straight away after we bought our first house. ;D

I think I was born that way. I didn't have a pet until I was cca 10 yrs old. And that one (kitty named Balthasar) I brought home to stay with us just until we found someone who would take him. Of course he stayed with us until his end.

I was also born loving animals My parents have always been animal lovers and it was actually them who brought my first pet into the house. The first I remember was a duck - yes, in the apartment ;D though I don't remember how long that was for - probably just for a couple of days, then the real pet came - my budgie who lived with us until the day he died (15 years), in the meantime I had a dog and a cat (a feral one I dragged in from the street), but the feral was too wild to ever get adjusted to living in a flat so it had to go as it was creating way too much damage than was tolerable. Now we only have a cat which we have since she was a kitten. Growing up I also moved to larger animals, and now horses rule my life They are the most amazing animal I ever had the fortune of getting to know.
