Is there a creature you've always wanted to have?
I've had dogs, gerbils, rabbits, a hamster, goldfish and now a cat...but since being 'ickle I've always longed for a tortoise.

i have had dogs, cats, parrakeets, finches, parrots, a pigeon, cockateils, ferrets, hamsters, rats, mice, a gerbil, guinea pigs, a hedge hog, a chinchilla, rabbits, fish, and i am sure i'm forgetting some. basically i was very lucky my mom let me have almost what ever kind of pet i wanted because i was good with them. she always had dogs so that was no issue with her but the first pet i asked for that wasn't a dog(guinea pig) was hard to to talk her into, after that she saw i would take care of them so she didn't care. as an adult i have only lived with people that were animal lovers so there again no one ever seemed to mind me having what ever pets i wanted. i will have to say that skip has told me that i will only get another animal over his dead body but he has been telling me that since we had only two dogs and two cats. for those of you who don't know we are up to five dogs and eight cats now and he is still breathing. lol anyway i really don't think there is any pet i would want other than what i have.

Hehehehe I would love a dolphin or maybe an alternative intelligent creature. A chimp or something

More intelligent the creature is - more difficult to handle it. Most animals are better off without our involvment in their lives - but we can as well enjoy visiting them in their natural inhabitat. (speaking of dolphins - I had quite a few beautiful experiences with them I've only had cats, and I'll leave it that way. Have no wish for any other animal right now, and if I did, I couldn't keep it in the flat anyway.

The only pet I've ever wanted was a cat. I had to wait until I was 20 before I could realise that wish, as I wasn't allowed any pets when I was a child.
Now I have 3 cats, love them to bits and am happy.
Perhaps, when have more time, I will get a dog too but only if the cats agree.

I totally get you on intelligent animals being harder to keep Zoooo lol. I have daily trouble with Tommy because he is just far too clever hehehe And besides.... I don't think a dolphin would actually fit in our bath

I would love a big black Panther - especially so it could go and eat any of my moaning neighbours!! the ones that don't like my kittys. LOL
